Fayetteville firefighters spent the day with Holcomb Elementary students, teaching important fire safety tips and sharing what to do to stay safe in an emergency.

REMINDERS

Fall Break:  No school on Friday, October 9th and Monday, October 12th!

Lunch Visitors: Students are not allowed to invite friends to join them at the lunch table with guests.

Recess perimeter:  So we can ensure students safety at recess, please refrain from calling students to the fence if you are passing by or waiting at the end of the school day. Thank you!

Holcomb Academy after-school clubs are a great place for students to explore, create, and have fun with friends beyond the school day!

Session 1 Registration begins tonight, Monday, August 31.

  • All families will receive the registration link from Mrs. Oliver by email and text at 7pm.

  • PTA members will receive the registration link by email at 6pm, giving you an hour of early access.

PTA Memberships must be renewed annually! Anyone who purchases a PTA membership by September 1 is entered into a drawing to win 4 reserved front row seats to your student’s grade level program, so sign up all your student’s adults! Parents, Grandparents etc.

The FHS Performing Arts Center was full of music, energy, and recorder notes as Fayetteville Public Schools fourth graders took part in “The Orchestra Swings” with the Arkansas Philharmonic Orchestra! 🎶🎻

Through Carnegie Hall’s Link Up program, students experienced an interactive concert where they sang, danced, and performed alongside professional musicians. With support from APO musicians, FPS music teachers, and Fayetteville High School students, our fourth graders confidently played along and became part of the orchestra experience themselves.

It was a fun filled day of music making, movement, and memorable performances for students across FPS! 💜
