Holcomb Elementary School brought the Amazon Rainforest to life with an inspiring, schoolwide STEAM and arts integration project!🌿 Each grade created a rainforest layer using recycled materials, UV-reactive art, and glowing UV lights. Students explored math concepts like symmetry and pattern and engineered standing murals and features. 🦋🌊🌳 We’re so proud of their creativity and collaboration! 💛 #STEAM #ArtsIntegration #HolcombProud

Former FPS Superintendent Dr. John L Colbert has been sharing the joy of reading all week, bringing “Green Eggs and Ham” to life alongside FPS teacher Tamara Ridout at several of our elementary schools during Read Across America Week. Today, our very own Superintendent Dr. John Mulford joined in on the performance! We love seeing our leaders inspire a love for books and learning! You can tell by the smiles on the students’ faces that they were having fun! #ReadAcrossAmerica #GreenEggsAndHam #FayettevillePublicSchools

Holcomb Elementary School students have been working on a special sidewalk chalk installation with University of Arkansas intern, Mrs. Abby Arteaga. The project was inspired by the Heidelberg Project, whose mission is to improve the lives of people and neighborhoods through art. Holcomb artists have created quite a showpiece on their sidewalks and had lots of fun with the art project!
